'They would have hated me'- Oprah on why she doesn't regret having kids

TV legend Oprah Winfrey chose not to get married or have children and she says looking back now at age 59, she doesn't regret her decision. In an interview with Hollywood Reporters, Oprah said if she'd had children they would have been neglected because of how busy her life was.
"If I had kids, my kids would hate me. They would have ended up on the equivalent of the Oprah show talking about me, because something in my life would have had to suffer and it would've probably been them. Gayle (now a mother of two) was the kind of kid who, in seventh grade class, was writing down her name and the names of her children while I was having daydreams about how I could be a Martin Luther King".
With a net worth of $2.9 billion, Oprah is one the richest women in the world. She owns TV Network OWN, the O and Oprah Magazine as well as vast real estate stakes. She has been in a relationship with Stedman Graham since 1986.

Why I parted ways with Kelvin' - Monalisa Chinda finally speaks on ex-editor

A few months ago, the ex-editor of Monalisa Chinda's magazine, Monalisa, Kelvin Keshi, wrote a letter to online media claiming Monalisa and her boyfriend/business partner Lanre Nzeribe treated him and other staff of the magazine badly (If you missed it, read it HERE).

Monalisa, who has been silent on the issue recently granted City People magazine an interview where she cleared the air on what really happened. What she said below...
The case was a very sad one. Kelvin as a matter of fact was a mistake. He is boy we tried to help even though we knew deep down he wasn't well qualified but we needed to get someone who has expreience because other staff are fresh graduates. So we just told him to come on board and when he came, he had his CV doctored, his address doctored and he said he was the assistant editor in that publication but he wasnt. He lied about so many things that we didn't feel was necessary for him to have lied about.

He was good at writing and so we said as long as you are good at writing, its not a problem because we need a very good person who can head the editorial department. His disposition was very laid back but we said come on board, we need people to be groomed. Well he came on board but started having an affair in the office. We didn't realize he was having an affair with the same lady in the other publication house where they came from. He came down here and started off from where he left off. I didn't know and there was so much commotion going on. He couldn't head his department nor meet his targets, and in the midst of all that, there was another girl working with them who they also frustrated. So we told him to go away for a while, we didn't even lay him off and the next was that he went on crazy on the internet, He started publishing company intellectual property. So we had to change a whole lot of thing. We had to change the title of the magazine, some text and lots more. To our utter disappointment, he has a brother who is a lawyer so he came and we had a meeting with them and he was totally disappointed. He said this was just a disgruntled brother who feels he wasn't treated well. I said how because we were always talking on the phone and i kept asking him what the problem was. It was much later after we laid him off we realized this affair he was having was affecting him. That was just what happened".

When asked if he was owed any salary as Kelvin alleged, Monalisa said
"We have documents to prove there is nothing like that. all the while he was meant to meet up his target but he was concentrating on his job and we asked him to go away for two weeks. Perhaps its the two weeks pay he is asking of and that is not done anywhere, you cant go and release company property just like that, its not done. I pray wherever he is right now, may God forgive him".

EXCLUSIVE: Jonathan, Alison-Madueke, Okonjo-Iweala Guilty Of Diverting N8 Trillion Oil Funds

Photo: Jonathan and two top ministers involved in big oil fraud
President Goodluck Jonathan and two of his top ministers may be attempting a cover-up on what clearly competes as Nigeria’s biggest fraud ever, involving the illegal diversion, or theft, of over N8 trillion crude oil sales proceeds.
In a memo to the president on September 25, 2013, Central Bank governor, Sanusi Lamido Sanusi detailed how government-owned oil firm, the Nigeria National Petroleum Corporation, NNPC, had systematically diverted the huge sum, being sales proceeds between January 2012 and July 2013.

According to CBN governor, for all crude oil sales within the period, the NNPC paid only 24 percent proceeds into the federation account, and diverted or stole the remaining 76 percent-totalling N8 trillion.

As the CBN calculated, the NNPC sold at least 594 million barrels of oil within the period, and should have paid N10.3 trillion (USD65.3 billion) into the federation account. But the corporation paid only N2.5 trillion (USD15.5 billion), Mr. Sanusi said, citing documentation from pre-shipment inspectors.

REVEALED: Why Jonathan Didn’t Speak At Mandela’s Service – Presidency

The Presidency last night rose in defence of President Goodluck Jonathan for not speaking at the memorial service in honour of the former South African leader, Nelson Mandela in South Africa.

The President had come under serious condemnation by critics in the social media, who wondered why he went to Johannesburg in the first place without rendering an oration in honour of Madiba as other world leaders did.
But Presidential Spokesman, Dr Reuben Abating, dismissed the attacks on the President as a classic case of much ado about nothing, as Jonathan was not billed to speak at the ceremony in the first place.
According to Abati, only six out of the 100 world leaders at the event, were slated to speak and Jonathan was not one of those chosen to render any speech

Hell freezes over: Galatasaray's crunch clash with Juventus abandoned due to extreme weather

The Champions League Group B showdown between Galatasaray and Juventus was abandoned due to heavy snow.
Extreme weather at the Turk Telekom Arena in Istanbul saw the game begin with an orange ball, but play was halted just after the half-hour mark as the markings became covered with the score still 0-0.
The groundstaff tried in vain for 20 minutes to clear the pitch, only for officials to eventually give up hope of the game resuming and call it a day.
