Katy Perry Opens Up On Humiliation She Suffered Early In Her Career

Every success story has its humble beginnings. Singer Katy Perry has shared some of the uncomfortable pain she had to bear, early in her career. 

 Perry speaks on her "uncomfortable" start in the music industry over ten years ago, and says she often felt "humiliated" when she just began

The 'Teenage Dream' star released her debut album 'One Of The Boys' in 2008, after being discovered around 2001 and struggling to get her career off the ground.

"You have to eat dust in the music industry," Katy revealed to Joy magazine this week. "You'll get humiliated, often in very uncomfortable ways.

"That period of my life was like a test of my strength," she explained. 'My philosophy is, you get presented with these challenges so you can learn to overcome them."
